Net sessions

The club is in a position to allow players to start limited training activities with net sessions for up to four players as long as social distancing is employed.  The rules which MUST be adhered to are set out below; the procedure for booking a session is set out immediately below the rules.


Rules for net usage 2020

  1. Nets are for the use of Club Members.
  2. Nets must be pre-booked.  No bookings on the day.
  3. Please do not attempt to use the nets if you have not booked. 
  4.  Available times are as follows:
  • Saturdays and Sundays, 9am to 6pm, Thursdays, 6pm to 9pm
  1. Bookings can be made as set out in the Nets Booking Procedure; please adhere to the guidelines set out therein.
  2. Do not book or use the nets if you, or anyone in your household, are showing COVID 19 symptoms.
  3. Sessions will be for 45 minutes; please ensure you leave the net immediately after your session.
  4. Please do not arrive before your booked time. 
  5.  Please observe social distancing of at least two metres apart at all times.
  6.  Nets may be used by up to four people (plus coach in the case of juniors) who are not members of the same household or by family groups.
  7. Please place cricket bags on opposite sides of the nets.
  8. Batters should knock the ball back with bat or feet – do not pick the ball up.
  9. No sweat or saliva on the ball.
  10.  Please wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the facility and bring your own wipes and hand sanitiser.  If members do not bring hand sanitiser the session will be cancelled.
  11.  A club representative will be present whilst nets are being used.
  12. There will be no access to the clubhouse; bowling machine unavailable.
  13. Stumps only will be provided.  All other kit, including cricket balls, should be your own.
  14. Bring your own drinks and please do not leave anything on site when   you leave.
  15. If anyone in your household develops COVID 19 symptoms soon after your net session please notify the club and follow Government guidance.
  16.  In making a booking you agree to abide by these rules, club rules more generally and to follow ECB guidance regarding outdoor net usage.


Net sessions booking procedure

If you or anyone in your household have any of the symptoms below DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOOK A NET:

  • New persistent cough,
  • Fever,
  • Loss of taste or smell

Check the timetable for a suitable time slot and contact Simon Webb via Facebook, advising him of all attendees, and he will confirm the booking.

Parents of juniors should contact their coach who will book the session.

Sessions are in 45 minutes slots.

Please do not arrive before your selected time and leave immediately after your session.
